Starry, Starry Night v2

Starry, starry night, to whom it shines so bright,
For travelers and dreamers, a celestial sight,
Guiding those in need, high up in the sky,
A beacon of hope when life's questions make us sigh.

Lights from the blue, they're tales of the past,
Millions of years for their journey to last,
A glimpse of history, can it ever truly last?
A ghost of time's echo, fading so fast.

Stars that blink, illusions in the air,
Dust suspended, their secrets rare,
In the midst of this beautiful, starry, starry night,
Life and death dance, in the soft moonlight.

Amidst the boundless canvas of the night,
Where stars shine bright, their guiding light,
I ponder life’s tapestry, woven with threads,
Of sadness, longing, where both life and death treads.

In this starry, starry night, I gaze above,
Seeking answers and solace, a message of love,
The past may linger, distant and vast,
Yet hope still shines, transcending the past.

Stars that twinkle in the midnight’s embrace,
Illusions of time and dust in space,
Yet their beauty, a reminder, steadfast and clear,
That life’s journey carries both joy and tears.

In the starry, starry night, we find our way,
Amidst the darkness, we’ll see the light of day,
In sadness and longing, we’ll learn to cope,
For life keeps moving forward, giving us hope.

Whispering Shadows

I am the shadow from behind,
Always wondering what's on your mind,
Longing for you always on my sight,
Wondering if you'd allow me, if I might?

My voices that you're ignoring,
Leaves me in the limbo wandering,
Can you please see me as I am looking,
Behind you as you are walking?

I know you're busy with your life,
But I can't help but feel this strife,
I long to talk, to laugh, to share,
But you don't seem to be aware.

I beg you to hear my voice,
And let me enter your life by choice,
I promise to be gentle and kind,
And cherish you with all my heart and mind.

I'm not just a shadow, a mere reflection,
But a person with a heart, a soul, and affection,
Please give me a chance, to show you who I am,
And I'll prove to you, that I'm not just a shadow, a mere scam.

My heart beats faster every time you're near,
And I wish that you could just hear,
The love that's waiting here for you,
The passion, the fire, burning bright and true.

I'll wait for you, in the shadows of the night,
Hoping that someday, you might see the light,
And realize that the love you seek,
Has been right here, all along, waiting to peak.

I don't need fancy words, or grand gestures,
Just a simple chance, to show you my treasures,
The love, the kindness, the care,
All that I have, I'll give to you, my fair.

So here I am, still in the shadows,
Watching as you come and go,
Hoping that someday, you might see,
The love that's waiting here for thee.

Until that day, I'll keep on dreaming,
And keep on hoping, and keep on believing,
That one day, you'll turn around,
And see me here, waiting, without a sound.

And if that day should ever come,
I'll hold you close, and never let you run,
Together we'll walk, in the light of day,
And the shadows of the past, will fade away.

So, until then, I'll wait and see,
Hoping that one day, you'll notice me,
And let me into your heart and soul,
And together, we'll become whole.

Midnight Serenade

Just like my favorite music, you're on repeat

A melody that I can't get over with

Playing like a symphony that lifts me.

That brings me to a state of glee.

You, oo ikaw, are the reasons.

Why I make my midnight, afternoons.

While hovering above the moon

Thinking that can we be, soon?

I see your smile; it glows like the stars.

That shine is so bright, it can break the bars.

Of my heart that's been longing for love

For someone like you, a gift from above

My heart skips a beat, whenever you're near

I can't help but blush and hide in fear.

Of expressing how much you mean to me

And how much I want you to be with me.

But for now, I'll let the music play.

And let my heart sing what I cannot say.

Hoping that someday, you'll feel the same.

And we'll dance together in this love game.

As the music fades and the night draws near

My heart aches with longing, and my eyes filled with tears.

For I cannot imagine a life without you

My heart and my soul, both belong to you.

So, I'll keep on dreaming, and hoping for the day.

When you'll take my hand, and never let it stray.

Together we'll walk on this journey of love

With music as our guide, to the heavens above.

With each note of the music, my heart beats

A sweet melody, like a gentle breeze

And I imagine you, here with me.

In this midnight serenade, just you and me

We'll dance under the moon, in its silver light.

With the stars as our witnesses, shining so bright.

Lost in the music, we'll move as one.

Until the night fades, and a new day has begun.

Boredom Raphsody

Boredom, you dull and dreary friend,
You come uninvited, taking the time I could spend
You whisper softly in my ear, void of all cheer,
Making life seem like a chore, nothing to hold dear.

But I will not give in to your drab and tedious spell,
I'll find within me joy that you can never tell.
I'll dance to my own beat, sing my own sweet song,
I'll read the world's pages and learn what I've not known.

You, boredom, are just a guest, passing through for a while,
And I will make the most of you, with a smile.
I'll paint with bright colors, write with words so divine,
Breathing life into the void, making every moment shine.

Farewell, boredom, you dull and dreary state,
You have no hold on me, I won't be late.
I'll live my life with purpose, laughter, love, and light,
Leaving you far behind, a fleeting and transitory sight.

Sunset Symphony

Along the shore, the sea is calm,
Reflecting colors, bright and warm.
As the sun and sky in union blend,
A breathtaking sight, around the bend.

The hues of orange, pink, and red,
Gradient across the water's bed.
A canvas painted by our God,
His masterpiece, beyond applause.

It brings peace to the loud mind,
A moment for our thoughts to unwind.
It soothes the soul, quiets the heart,
A relief for all that life can impart.

For in this beauty, we will find rest,
A break from our daily test.
It shows us that amidst the fray,
There's always peace, just a glance away.

So let us pause and stare upon,
This sight is so rare, so bright, so calm.
For in its grace, we will find release,
And comfort from the world's disease.

For every sunset brings to view,
A reminder, old and ever true.
That endings just starts in guise,
And new beginnings, open skies.

The Escape of the Daydreamer

In the classroom, where the hours drag on,
And the monotony of learning seems to linger on,
The teacher drones on, but I find myself elsewhere,
Lost in my thoughts, a world beyond compares.

My imagination takes flight, to faraway lands,
Where adventure awaits, with open hands,
And I am the hero, of my tale,
In this world of my own, I never fail.

My class is forgotten, as I daydream,
Of fantastical lands, where anything is a theme,
And in my mind's eye, I roam with glee,
Through lands of wonder, so wild and free.

I smile and I laugh, as I wander and play,
In this world of my own, I am free each day,
And the dull classroom is far behind,
Lost in the realm of my wandering mind.

So when boredom creeps in, and I start to stray,
I lose myself in my daydreams, and I'm never swayed,
For in this world, where I am free,
Boredom has no hold, over me.

I visit exotic places, and meet strange creatures,
On my journey through my daydreams, and their features,
And each time I visit, I'm never the same,
For in this world, I'm forever changed.

So even though class may be boring and slow,
My imagination takes me to places I never thought I'd go,
And though the teacher may drone, and the lesson may be dull,
I find joy and excitement, in my daydream world.

For in this place, I'm free to be me,
And boredom is just a distant memory,
And I can go wherever my heart desires,
And set my imagination, aflame with fire.

So, if you're ever feeling bored, just close your eyes,
And let your imagination, reach for the skies,
And you too can find, your paradise,
Lost in the realm of your daydreams and delights.

Whispering Blues

A life of pain, a heart of stone,
A constant battle that's never won.
Alone in the dark, feeling so low,
Wondering where I should go.

A mask of laughter, a smile so bright,
But deep inside, a fear of the light.
A need for someone, my thoughts to hear,
Someone to hold and dry every tear.

Memories of the past, haunting and real,
A burden is too heavy, too hard to feel.
A search for comfort, a quest for peace,
But the hurt and the pain never cease.

A cry for help, a silent plea,
But who to trust, who to believe?
A longing for love, a need for care,
But the world is cold, and nobody's there.

A hope for tomorrow, a wish for change,
But for now, the struggles remain.
A journey ahead, a path to tread,
A chance to heal, to live, and to spread love instead.

Though the road is long, and the night is dark,
And the weight of the world feels like it's tearing apart.
There's a light that shines within,
A strength that we all have within.

We just must reach out and take hold,
And find the courage to let the pain unfold.
To open and share our hearts,
And find a way to make a new start.

So don't give up, don't lose your way,
For tomorrow's a new day,
And with hope in your heart and love by your side,
You'll make it through, and you'll learn to abide.

So, keep fighting, keep going,
For the light of a new day is glowing.
You are not alone, you are loved,
And in time, you'll find a new world above.

The Poet's Pen

The pen in my hand, a tool of my trade
A weapon to wield, a story to braid
With every word, the world comes alive
A blank page before me, a canvas to thrive

I write of love, loss, hope, and of dreams
I paint with words, a world that seems
With emotion and feeling, a tapestry unspun
A poem in the making, a masterpiece begun

It flows from my mind, a river of thought
A current to ride, a story to be wrought
With every line, my heart beats as one
With the words, as they are written and done

A poem is a thing of beauty, a work of art
A reflection of life, a beating heart
It tells of our triumphs and our fears
It holds the truth, it dries our tears

So I'll keep on writing, a poem every day
For in the words, I'll find my way
To a world that's waiting, a story yet untold
A poem in the making, a masterpiece to behold.

Bayang Iniibig

Paghihirap at pang-aapi, muling sinapit

COLORING SHADOWS (ver. 2)

by Yuehnd Familara

On the day that gods conquered our land
Our freedom, wealth, and soul devoured by guns.
The color of Red flooded the earth
That drifts beneath our raging Sun.

People fought and died for IT;
Against the monstrous tyranny from the EAST
Blood, Toil, Tears, and Sweat were offered
To regain the stolen freedom of our past.

With the aim for freedom, a Flag was weaved
With the sun and three stars that made us amalgamated;
The color of red that conveys strength for those who tussled
With a shade of blue that tells us that we are united.

Then a hymn was sung on 12th of June 1898
Uttering meaningful words that declare sovereignty
An anthem that was sung on that historical balcony
And a flag that symbolizes that we are now FREE!

From FEAR to GLADNESS people celebrated
For that short-lived freedom that was never accepted
Months later a gun fire was heard
Commencing another threat coming from the buyer.

Once again we, the natives were conquered;
By new gods that promised education for everyone
Ships started to arrive with TOMMIES inside
That trained us to bark like BOW-WOW-WOW

Years have passed, the Brown was covered by white
And started to live in the shadows of our New Gods
We now to hate for the things that we have
Even the brown color of the skin we possess

Hundreds of Years under the colonizers
We now lost our identity that came from our forefathers
A shade of GREY was left from our vibrant rainbow,
That once shined from our clear blue sky.

Hope from the Orient once again renewed
That on few years’ time their land will be liberated
From those who made us thinking
That WHITES are superior human being

Then a plane from the sky flew over the Capitol
A bomb was dropped on a lovely harbor
Armies of gods from our neighbor
Forcibly took the control from our buyers

Women were raped, Children were bayoneted
By the monsters from the land where the Sun Rises
Killing innocent lives to those who blocked
Making GARDENs grew to like how the mushrooms bloom

For the next THREE years people suffered;
FEAR once again ruled over those grieved
HANDS that once was FREE were now knotted
By the gods came from the north of the Earth.

Then A-Bombs were dropped to the land of the occupiers,
That forced them to left on the land that writhed
Leaving the ROSES on the lonely hills
That WEPT on the GARDENS that the gods have created

A PROMISE that was made by a man from the EAST
The ORIENT was freed, granting freedom at least
On the Day they called independence of the WEST
The SONG of the BROWNS was sung on its best.

Grateful

Written by Dharyll Udtujan

We traced the pattern of our dream’s design
Teach me the rhythm by which you make
Geography of leaves and sand
Destiny of tongue, unnamable word

Took me to the school
A place that I will never forget
Hide beneath his appearance
Touch the shape of its edge
Hear the sound of its tune
Make yourself truly worthy

Learn what you don’t know,
Teach what you know,
Cause’ life is but an empty dream!
To see what the future holds.

In mind and in heart
The hemispheres of reason and imagination
A stage that we can express the hidden soul,
A comforting one that is wrapped up neatly,
Inside a world he could control.

Divergent

Written by Ann Ruth Austria

A beaming sound that never stops,
A great energy as their heart pounds.
Molding a peak of sound,
Roaming the place with pride.

Declares all mind’s thoughts
And acts with no choice of thought.
Blinded by what they see is perfect;
Unknown and passed by trouble.

A hidden world away from pack,
Clothed in silence; no noise nor little crack.
Chosen to be alone
Than to be disturbed by the noise

Thought building packs yield no sense
A shuttered mouth presents the loudest minds.
A silent one, eyes through the darkness
Rely that society teaches limitation.

Teachers as Leaders

by: B.P. Familara

Teaching as a form of leadership
Where we not just stand in front and teach
Instead we also guide and help them
To attain their goals and dreams

Let’s see teaching in another perspective
It’s not boring,
Not even easy
But teaching is a kind of leading

Doctors cure the sick
Engineers create something from the scrap
Lawyers and attorney help those in need
But teachers are the one how mold them to be.

Colors of the Past ver. 2

On the day that whites conquered our land
Our freedom, wealth and soul were gone.
The color of Red covered the earth
That flowed beneath our raging Sun

People fought and died for us
Against the monstrous tyranny of the EAST
Blood, Toil and Tears that our country men have offered
To regain the stolen freedom of our past

For the aim of freedom a Flag was weaved
With sun and three stars that stand for unity
The color of red that tells that we will fight
And a shade of blue that aims peace among us

Then a hymn started to be heard
And meaningful words changed everything
An anthem that was sang on the 12th day of June
And a flag that was waved on the balcony that tells that we wereFREE.

After six months of unrecognized independence
A treaty in Paris was signed without our knowledge
By the Trojans who wanted to straighten their will
That exploited our culture and implanted theirs to us.

Then schools were established by Uncle Sam
And made educated every JUAN
The knowledge that wasn't meant for everyone
It was used to conceal their evil plan

For the past centuries
Four conquerors entered and flourished
But we stood and fought together
In order to protect our beloved Nation

Starry Night

Starry , starry night
To whom it shines so bright at night
For the travelers that needs some light
Or to someone who needs some guidance up in the sky

Light from the blue happens from the past
But how could happen to see by our naked eyes
If million years for the light to come
Does it possible to see a ghost of the past?

Stars that blinks from now and then
Just an illusion made by air
Dust that covers our precious space
That makes that beautiful starry,  starry night

Every time that heavy rain pours coming from the dark low clouds, classes from Preschool, Elementary, and High School level often suspended except for college level. I often asks my self, should I go to school despite of this crazy weather? News from TV networks announces the schools that suspended their classes as well as their local government.  I always hope that our school is listed on the list of schools that suspends their classes in all level, but it's not. With hesitation pinned on my mind, still, I packed my things and leave the house with no assurances that there are still classes.

Imagine the World Without

Have you ever imagine the world without a system
Like laws that makes our society in peace
A place that full of harmony and bliss
And where we can ease the blood, tears and sweat to increase

Have you ever imagine the world without music
Like beats that somehow makes our behavior in manic
Melodies that helps us to relieve our pain
That sometimes results of our vane

Have you ever imagine the world without knowledge
Like a society that education does not encourage
People are living like they’re on the cage
That the way for wisdom has no passage

Have you ever imagine the world without Ecosystems
Just like an extreme desert that is not capable for organisms
Where trees, plants and animals were never flourished
A planet like Mars that was never given a chance to nourish

Have you ever imagine the world without peace
A place where love is not a piece
Hatred, anger and violence can be pleased
A world that we live are totally pissed

Twinkle Twinkle

Twinkle Twinkle in the land
How I wonder what they are
Buildings, Streets as well as Cars
Like a diamonds, strikes by light

Twinkle twinkle in the land
How I wonder why they are
Blinks at night, when they are not
Just an illusion, made by night

Twinkle twinkle in the land
Like a star that blinks at night
Air that blows in space, we know
Might be the reason, of that sight
