A sky-bound dream, I did exalt

Power outages, avatars of our current
Comfort shatters when they abruptly recur
They'll rouse you from your slumber for sure
With the heat that's generated by the power's lure.
Explosions and blowouts reasons not hard to find
Power lines, more fragile than love, bind
Electricity shocks, innocent birds confined
Honestly, it's annoying, my mind rewinds.
The power interruption not only disrupts my dreams,
But also my mood and daily schemes.
I can't watch TV or charge my phone, it seems.
The heat is caused by the lack of electricity, it beams.
