Pilipinas Kong Mahal (My Beloved Philippines)
When the Philippines doesn't have an official national anthem during the time of the american occupation in the Philippine Archipelago, children used to sang"Philippines, My Philippines". It is based on "Maryland, My Maryland" and written by an American Thomasite P.F. Jernegan on 1907. Later on, its hymn was change into a Kundiman composition, the C major, in 3-4 by Maestro Francisco Santiago. It was later on translated to Filipino by Ildefonso Santos, a Filipino Poet, with a title "Pilipinas Kong Mahal".
